Checked out of M and M’s Sweet Hideaway which was really sweet and a hideaway. Thank you Maribeth for a wonderful stay.
Took a leisurely drive up the ‘windward’ side of O’ahu enjoying the scenery the entire way.
I dropped Margaret and Max off at the Polynesian Cultural Center where Max went to class, got a tattoo and learned to make fire.
I spent the day at Sunset Beach and Waialua watching the surf and the local fauna.
Back in Waikiki we pass the Apple Store on our way to the Outrigger. Do they really make hotels this opulent? Wow! I think I need to go explore…
Good grief!! Sensory overload. This is too much for me. Every major brand is here at least once (I thought I saw two Prada stores). The shopping seems to stretch on forever and The Royal Hawaiian Hotel seems dwarfed and strangely out of place/time.
One interesting factoid: Max may be 11 but he still loves playing in the sand.
