Supreme Court decides segregation is just fine
Ugh! Stuff like this just blows my mind. It is no wonder we live in the world we do. We create this madness.
53 years ago, after hundreds of years of forced segregation, our courts decided that separating people based on the color of their skin was not good. Now we have decided that separate is just fine, so long as live in different cities. Education is not the goal, keeping children in school districts based on their income is.
Want to segregate? Easy, move to an area that is filled with people who are like you.
All children can learn. All children deserve a great education. Can we not see that by harming some children we harm our future?
I feel, and have felt for a while now, that we are going backwards. We are creating a society that is less open, less free and less accepting of the diversity that is the USA…
