Positively Black is a group to promote positive African ideals.
1) Always say something positive when speaking about Black people
Try to find something positive to say in every situation.
2) Never put down a Black person
Feel free to bring up any facts you dislike about a person and state that you disagree with that person. But never judge someone as a bad person. Never, ever, use the ‘B’ word even when talking about men. The ‘N’ word should never be used in any situation. If you hear people using either, do you best to distance yourself from the term. If asked, respond that you don’t use those words and you find them offensive.
3) Promote women
Women make up 51% of our population. They should make up at least 51% of what we do. Most people running things should be women. Most people creating things should be women. Most ideas we talk about should originate from women. If you look around and don’t see mostly women, think about why that is and if that is OK.
4) Promote LGBT members of our community
LGBT members are a large and crucial segment of our family. They have been discriminated against for far too long. This oppression must end. Period.
