I bought this a few months ago and I am still enjoying it a lot. Hmm… I wonder why. Her delivery is nice, no question. But I think it is the poetry. It has the whole Ray Charles “You Don’t Know Me” vibe to it. For some reason that really resonates with me.
Here is a Ray Charles live version. I love this song. I especially like how his timing is all over the place… like he is a real person who has not been quantized away from his soul =)
