I simply can not believe in this day an age that a friggin comedian is the first one to really get to the heart of the matter. WTF is going on here?!?!?

Bravo for Stewart for actually pulling this fool on the carpet and spanking him for all the world to see.

  1. I really appreciate Stewart for challenging Huckabee, though he hardly went far enough. The only argument Huckabee can make is that he shares the majority opinion of tyranny over an oppressed minority.

    Huckabee is a fucking coward! He doesn’t even have the balls to speak the truth about his own opinion. It’s not about a dictionary definition and he knows that. And the definition of marriage has nothing to do with reproduction or sex. Nor has the definition been static throughout history (read The History of Marriage.)

    It’s all about money people. Money and stuff and property and who gets how much if and when the happy couple decides to end their legal contract. And there’s hospital visitation stuff and who gets to decide what to do with your spouse’s remains, and over 10,000 other rights and benefits.

    When it comes to children, even custody rights and financial obligations relating to children are legislated outside of marriage, because many people procreate without taking vows. (You don’t say!) Vows, which by the way, are completely optional, not part of the “sacred definition” and not legally binding.

    I would guess that Huckabee’s main concern is his distaste for other people’s gay sex. I love Bill Mahr’s joke, which is that opponents of gay sex should support gay marriage, as nothing kills a couple’s sex life like marriage!
