Look at me, making croutons…

It’s a new year. Time to make some new stuff.

Recipe

Stale/dry (not moldy!) bread
Olive oil
Parmesan cheese (grated fine)
Oregano
Tyme
Pepper
Salt

Instructions

Cut the bread in to small (~1″) squares. Place in a large bowl. Add spices to taste. Add enough olive oil to coat most of the bread lightly. You do not want the pieces soaking. Half of the surface area having no oil is fine. You really just want enough so the spices adhere to the bread and do not fall off.

Toss.

Add cheese. Toss again.

I use a cookie sheet with parchment pager for easy clean up. Spread the bread one layer thick. Stick int he over at 375º for 10 minutes.
