Hawaii – Day 3

Margaret ran off to work early and kept running until 1:30 when we picked her up at an old army base.

Max and I packed up the room and checkout by 9. Maxis sporting the latest fashions for the tech-connected 11 year-old tourist set.

We walked next door to a hidden beach that was just perfect. Funny, it is called Paradise Cove!

For breakfast Max got a fruit cup, a frozen hot chocolate and a regular hot chocolate. For dessert he ordered a piƱa colada (without the alcohol).

As a nice surprise for all of us, we were able to meet up with Elise and eat a meal at the Peace Cafe (thank you for the tip Iyad!)

We figured since Iyad was on a roll with recommendations that we would try Bubbies. As per usual, another fantastic find! Unfortunately they were out of the “Come here little girl”. Their menu is a riot. Local lore has it that mochi came to the USA because of this one shop.

A perfect day ends with a perfect place to sleep. And so ends our perfect day. Thank you to Maribeth and John for a wonderful space.
