With a simply finger click you can launch Safari and see your web page. However, the default icon for this is a screenshot of the webpage. Well, for some of us, this is not quite enough. Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice to be able to have your logo on your homescreen? <a href=\"http:\/\/doctype.com\/create-custom-icon-iphones-homescreen\" target=\"_blank\">These instructions<\/a> show you how and are as clear as a bell.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you <a href=\"http:\/\/doctype.com\/users\/354\" target=\"_blank\">Guillermo Esteves<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>According to Apple\u2019s Human Interface Guidelines, you should create an image in PNG format that \u201cmeasures 57 x 57 pixels, with 90 degree corners (if the image measures other than this size, iPhone 1.1.3 scales it.)\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Save this image in your root document folder as apple-touch-icon.png if you want the iPhone to add the default visual effects (rounded corner, drop shadow and gloss), or as apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png if you don&#8217;t want it to add any visual effects.
