I love my little iPhone<\/a> application called Shazam<\/a>. When requested, it listens to the music around me for 15 seconds, queries the internet, and comes back with amazingly accurate results. I was at the Elbo Room<\/a> grooving to Dub Mission<\/a> a few weeks back when DJ Sep<\/a> spun a track by Fat Freddy’s Drop<\/a>. Shazam successfully tagged it and I promptly forgot about the song.<\/p>\n

I had a few minutes to kill today and decided to go through my tags. Most were pretty standard research but then I came across an amazing live video of Midnight Marauders<\/a> and was instantly hooked. A very happy two hours later I can now provide a bunch of links to Fat Freddy’s Drop<\/a> media. <\/p>\n

They are a G-R-E-A-T<\/strong> group! I love their energy and message. Big Up!!<\/p>\n
