Potatoes (sliced thin and as even as you can)
\nOil (for frying)
\nSalt<\/p>\n
Heat the oil and put a single potato slice in. When bubbles are raging around it, add more slices. Fill the oil with a single layer being careful not to overlap the pieces. You can turn the slices over if you want them super crispy but I like mine a little soft in the middle. Getting them to the perfect crunchiness just takes a few potatoes to get right.<\/p>\n
I turn the heat down to medium after the first or second potato. You def do not want the oil too hot. If it is smoking it is too hot.<\/p>\n
Take them out with tongs or a spatula. Place them flat on a plate that has a paper towel over it to soak up the extra oil. <\/p>\n
Salt to taste.<\/p>\n
Super easy. No fry on the planet taste better.<\/p>\n
