Things I’m thankful for By Marisa | November 26th, 2005
Brandon. Every day he inspires me, make me laugh and help me return to a state of wonder and innocence. It sure is hard to be a cynic in the light of that smile, and his giggle makes all my cares melt away.
Ulan. In so many ways and on so many levels, he has changed my life for the better. He is easily the most generous, forgiving, patient person I know.
My family. They tease me, put me to work, remind me who I am and where I come from and always lift me up.
Linda. What a gem. My son’s guardian angels knew what they were doing when they sent her into his and my life.
My job. I am challenged, stretched and rewarded every single day. I even love the stressful moments. I don’t care what anyone says, it’s fun to be a cat herder. You just have to make sure and keep your pockets full of tuna.
My health. Aches and pains, carpal tunnels, whatever. I’m healthy enough to pick my son up and go wherever I need to go and that’s all I need.
The Bay Area. Every time I go somewhere else on vacation I remember all the things I love about living here - the healthy delicious food, the diverse, quirky, lefty, unmediated, anticonsumerist folks, even the chilly breezes.
And I’m sure there’s lots more, but those are the first few that come to mind.
