Let’s think about this:

Google knows where you live and work. (local + maps)

Google knows what you search for. (suggest)

Google knows what’s on your computer. (toolbar)

Google only gives you what your government thinks you should have. (hello, China)

Google knows what you sell and how much of it (adwords + analytics)

Google reads your email. (Gmail)

15-minute cookies By Marisa | April 13th, 2006

Every now and then I get a seriously major craving for cookies. But, not being a big baker, I don’t usually have all the accoutrements you need to make fantastic cookies. Plus there’s the limited attention span and steadfast refusal to use measuring tools … etc.

Tsotsi By Marisa | April 1st, 2006

You can own me body and soul again when I step …

Multi-Touch Interaction Research

Rumor has it that Apple is working with this technology and trying to make it a reality. I found my mouth literally watering several times during this video. Bye-bye carpal tunnel. Bye-bye ridiculously outdated input devices that (mis)interpret your every gesture. Hello Minority Report interfacing.

It’s good to be alive at this point in time.

I am not the only one… By Marisa | January 27th, 2006

who looks at everyday items and thinks, “dangit, this wasn’t designed correctly!”

This is Broken!

and

Bad Designs

and of course there’s

Worst Web Design

Look at all these things and you will realize why I am often so cranky. Other than not having enough coffee, I mean. People glop products together like they are mud pies without sufficient thought to a) how it will be used b) common sense c) the laws …
